From Science to the Inner World

Somaya Soliman’s path to art began in a world of observation and inquiry. With an academic background in Microbiology and Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Medical Microbiology and Immunology, she spent years looking closely at life through the lens of science.

Over time, that same curiosity turned inward. Writing, painting, healing practices, and the exploration of consciousness became new ways of asking questions that could not always be answered in a laboratory. Her artistic practice grew from this meeting of observation and intuition, transforming experiences, emotions, and symbols into a visual language of her own.
