Abstract- 6

Abstract- 6 by Somaya Soliman builds an atmospheric space from vertical passages of blue and green. Warmer rose, gold, and pale tones gather above, while a lighter area opens near the lower center. These changes in color and density give the composition a sense of depth without fixing a literal setting.

The cooler marks suggest upright forms, with darker intervals creating separation between them. Smaller pink, yellow, and green touches break through the blue, keeping the surface varied. The warmer upper field provides a soft source of brightness against the deeper color below.

Near the base, pale and green strokes curve across the composition, creating an area that can suggest a clearing or reflected light. This lower movement balances the vertical rhythm above it. The paint remains irregular and layered, allowing the eye to find several routes through the surface.

The work invites a landscape reading while preserving the openness of abstraction. A wooded atmosphere, a remembered place, or a shifting field of color can each emerge from its marks. Abstract- 6 holds its quieter mood through the contrast between luminous passages and a deeper, more enclosed center.
